On the date of Sunday 10th
March 1996, the The Kasama-Inari shrine Yabusame equestrian archery ceremony
was invited to the finale event of the Hawaii Honolulu Festival 2nd, welcoming
Mr.Jeremy Harris, City Mayor of Honolulu as the honorable general judge
and Mr.Michael Nakamura, the chief officer of the Honolulu Police Department
as the general judge. This Yabusame celemony was held at the special riding
track, set up only for this wonderful occasion in Auahi@Street Honolulu
U.S.A. The Yabusame was magnificently performed with 7 horses that had belonged to the Kualoa farm in Honolulu. Honolulu citizens also attended the Yabusame ceremony as the servants. They enjoyed wearing Japanese Kimono costumes as a rare opportunity to experience the traditional Japanese culture from their whole hearts. This Yabusame ceremony ended up with a lively and cheerful atmosphere. |
